MSU-TCTO and BRUNEI'S UNISSA SIGN MOU

The Mindanao State University - Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) and Brunei Darussalam's Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in the latter's campus. MSU Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali and UNISSA Rector Dr. Haji Norarfan Bin Haji Zainal represented the two universities during the MoU signing.

The two institutions inked said MOU as they agreed on the collaboration in strengthening MSU TCTO's College of Islamic and Arabic Studies (CIAS) and the pedagogy of Islamic education in Tawi-Tawi, most especially for the fields of Shariah Law and Arabic language teaching.

Furthermore, the MOU contains provisions on future student exchanges between the two universities, collaboration in research efforts and opportunities through joint trainings which will be soon laid out in further agreements.

Chancellor Guinto-Sali expressed her excitement for this opportunity in improving the CIAS offerings. Together with the Chancellor in UNISSA for the MOU signing are Director Alnasul Sali, Director for International Linkages Surma Werble, Dean for Islamic and Arabic Studies Almira Hadji and Dean for Education Wilham Hailaya.
