TCTO Artists showcased Talents in an Art Exhibit

29 May 2017 – With its objectives to develop students’ skills and talents; encourage creativeness, resourcefulness, improvement of spatial intelligence and artistic expression; aid students to realize the field of arts as a form of expression, hobby and profession; and collaborate and unite students with artistic potentials and influence optimistic art value, the Blossom Art Club conducted a Pioneer Exhibit at the Conference Room of the Sabdani J. Bulante Hall. Students, some faculty members and university officials graced the activity.

Dr. Forma L. Gonzales, one of the advisers of the organization, emphasized in her opening remarks that the activity is the first of its kind in TCTO. She as well mentioned that the club envisions to empowering and cultivating individuals to their full-potential, thus, support in exposing students in the dimensions of art within the province of Tawi-Tawi. On the other hand, Dr. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali in her message expressed her full support to the organization. She also encouraged those who were in attendance to do more activities focusing on other forms like music and poetry.

The Arts exhibited ranged from recycled materials like straw, used newspaper and plastics that were fashioned by the club members to well painted portraits of TCTO executives.

Some of the members of the club displayed their talent in painting and handicrafts as they painted and made wristband.

The said exhibit ended with Iftar, an evening meal for breaking the fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
